The NeuGeneration Case Competition is a signature component of the NeuGeneration conference, offering undergraduate students from across Canada the chance to engage in a research-focused challenge within the broader neuroscience theme of the year. Teams of students work collaboratively to develop a novel and feasible research proposal on a topic relevant to the competition theme. Proposals are submitted as structured abstracts and then presented live to expert judges during the conference.

It provides participants with valuable experience in research design, evidence-based thinking, and professional presentation skills. Outstanding abstracts are recognized and published in an academic journal, and the top oral presentations are formally acknowledged during the conference.
